So she stole it, police said.

An unidentified woman was caught on a surveillance tape clutching a wedding gown as she left Seng Couture in Fanwood, N.J. Her 3-year-old daughter struggles to keep up. Inside, eight alleged bridal party accomplices blocked the thief from view of the shop owner.

“They say they looking, you know, for the wedding dress,” Chamroen Seng told Good Morning America. “Then they come and they all spread in the store.”

The woman tried on several gowns before leaving with the most expensive one.

Customer Marlene White said Seng is trusting and gives customers their space to make their decisions. This time, it was to her “detriment,” White said.

“This is beyond bridezilla,” White said. “This is thievery of the worst kind with a child involved.”

Fanwood police don’t know whether the thief is planning to wed in the gown she stole Sept. 28, but they’ve asked anyone who recognizes the woman in the tape to call with information.
