Drew Lachey, the season two champ, and his partner Anna Trebunskaya, were voted off along with season five winner Helio Castroneves and his partner, Chelsie Hightower.

After the vote was announced, Lachey said he had no regrets and would not change a thing.  The actor said when people question why he would do the show again, he tells them he “came back because this is fun.”

The Brazilian race car driver Castroneves thanked Team Penske and the IndyCar organization for letting him participate in Dancing with the Stars.  He also thanked the fans.  Hightower said they had a lot of fun together and that Castroneves had an amazing attitude and truly enjoyed the experience.

Twenty-four hours earlier Lachey and Trebunskaya had received their highest score of the competition so far — a 24 out of a possible 30 — after performing a cha cha that judge Carrie Ann Inaba said was tight and precise.

Castroneves and Hightower performed a quick step on Monday that judge Len Goodman said deserved to be back next week because it was so good. Bruno had agreed, calling the routine “brilliant.”  They earned a total judges’ score of 25.5 out of a possible 30.

Once again, Bristol Palin and partner Mark Ballas survived another elimination, despite being at the bottom of the judges’ leader board for the second straight week.

The results show also had the couples picking dance styles for their competitors to perform next week.  Sabrina Bryan and Louis Van Amstel were assigned disco while Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke were assigned the bolero dance style.

Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy will be performing the Charleston next week, while Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas will be performing a “rock & roll” dance style.  Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani have been assigned the jitterbug, while Kelly Monaco and Valentin Chmerkovskiy will perform a routine in the contemporary dance style.  Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough will perform a mambo, and Apolo Anton Ohno and partner Karina Smirnoff will perform a hip hop routine.  Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd will perform a Bollywood dance style.

The results show also featured musical performances from Frankie Moreno and Karmin.  Moreno performed a medley of “Tangerine Honey” and “Real Wild Child.”  Karmin performed a medley of “Brokenhearted” and “Hello” from the duo’s debut album.

Dancing with the Stars returns next Monday at 8 p.m. eastern time with Paula Abdul making an appearance as a guest judge.
