(IDAHO FALLS) – The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare has announced that three more area clinics have been affected by a nationwide drug recall. The drugs come in the form of a steroid injection and may transmit fungal meningitis to recipients. Nationally, 233 facilities are being investigated and at least 15 people have died. Idaho Eye Care Center in Idaho Falls and Pocatello, as well as Walker Spine and Sports Specialists in Idaho Falls are the latest clinics believed to have received the contaminated medicine over the summer. Officials have confirmed that one eastern Idaho man has been infected.
