(SOUTH BEND, Ind.) — Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson successfully completed post-concussion exercises Monday and will start in the teams game against Oklahoma Saturday, according to Fighting Irish head coach Brian Kelly.
“He’s good, 100 percent,” Kelly said during his Tuesday news conference. “He’ll start for us against Oklahoma on Saturday.”
Golson suffered a concussion in Notre Dame’s win over Stanford two weekends ago. He passed all required concussion testing by last Tuesday, but wasn’t able to fully participate in practices that week, so Kelly started Tommy Rees instead during the teams victory over BYU last weekend.
Golson, a redshirt freshman, has thrown for 968 yards and four touchdowns. hE has also rushed for two touchdowns in the six games he has played this season.
