Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan passed for 262 yards with three touchdown passes and the Falcons scored on their first six possessions in the rout.

“We like to have a lot of fun,” Falcons coach Mike Smith said. “We have a very mature group. We have a bunch of guys who are mentors. We’re good at focusing on the task at hand. We’re on point when we kick off and guys have done a good job focusing all season.”

The Falcons 7-0 start marks the first time in the franchise’s 47-year history.

“We’re 7-0 over here baby,” Former Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel said after the win. “If I was over there now, they have to go to work.”

The Eagles fell to 3-4 for the season and are now 2-2 at home in 2012.

“That was an embarrassing performance,” Eagles head coach Andy Reid said. “I’m stating the obvious. We need to get better. I need to do a better job. This is fixable. We have the talent.”

Eagles quarterback Michael Vick finished 21 of 35 for 191 yards with a touchdown and did not turn the ball over, but was still asked about his starting job.

“Whatever decision coach makes, I support it,” Vick said.  “The thing I know is I’m giving it everything I got when I step on the football field.”
