Franklin County Native Named State Controller

(BOISE) – Franklin County native Brandon Woolf has been named Idaho’s 21st state controller. Woolf was appointed to the position after Donna Jones stepped down following a May 25 car accident. The 40-year-old father of three has been in the state controller’s office since he began as an intern in 1997. State officials say Jones faces a medical recovery of nearly two years. Woolf takes over as Idaho’s chief fiscal officer as well as an administrator for the state’s Social Security program, among other responsibilities.
