(BLACKFOOT, ID) — A man wanted on warrants for felony burglary and misdemeanor stalking was arrested Tuesday after a standoff with police. Authorities say 41-year-old Francisco Tarin is also suspected of leading police on a high speed chase through Idaho Falls last week. Tarin, who was armed at the time of his arrest, was hiding on an island in the Snake River west of Firth. Tarin reportedly stole a fishing boat owned by Jason Greer in order to get to the island. Police were able to track Tarin’s location using his cell phone’s signals. Tarin gave up peacefully after being surrounded.
