Alex Smith was intercepted three times, including twice by Giants cornerback Antrel Rolle.

The G’Men also had six sacks.

“The nice thing was the pounding…of the defensive line,” Giants head coach Tom Coughlin said. “I think the defensive line finally decided they were going to come out and play today and they finally did.”

Eli Manning threw for 193 yards and a touchdown in the win.

“We knew coming in they’ve been playing great football,” Manning said. “They put up over 70 points and gave up three points. They’ve been playing great, and we knew it was going to be a tough game, but we played smart football.”

The win improves the Giants’ record to 4-2 and drops the 49ers’ to 4-2.
