Hulk Hogan Sues Gawker, Friend over Sex Tape
Published at(TAMPA BAY, Fla.) — Hulk Hogan has sued the gossip website Gawker for $100 million for posting clips of a highly-publicized sex tape featuring the pro wrestling legend and the ex-wife of a close friend.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, the 59-year-old Hulkster filed two lawsuits on Monday: a federal complaint against Gawker, and a Florida state court lawsuit seeking more than $15,000 against his possibly former pal, a DJ known as Bubba the Love Sponge Clem, and Clem’s ex-wife.
Hogan, whose birth name is Terry Bollea, has said he had consensual sex with Heather Clem six years ago, but did not know he was being recorded.
The tape was made around the time Hogan’s marriage to his first wife, Linda Hogan, was crumbling.
