(RIGBY, ID) — Schools in Jefferson County are considering a program to promote foreign language literacy among its younger students. Officials say the World Language Program, which teaches Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, or French, could leave graduating high school seniors enough language training skills to have the equivalent of a college minor. Authorities will work to decide whether to implement the program into the system for kindergarteners and first graders starting next year.
