(COLLEGE STATION, TX) — Another week, another close win for Les Miles.
The sixth-ranked Tigers came from behind to defeat the Texas A&M Aggies (No. 18 BCS, No. 20 AP) 24-19 to improve to 7-1 on the season and 4-1 in the SEC.
The Aggies had a 12 point lead in the first-half, but watched it slip away with LSU capitalizing on points off of turnovers.
The Tigers relied on their run game to pull out the win. Runningbacks Jeremy Hill and Michael Ford combined for 205 yards and two touchdowns to lead the ground attack.
Zach Mettenberger passed for 97 yards and a touchdown in the win for the Tigers, who were able to score 21 points off of four Texas A&M turnovers.
Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel had a rough game, getting intercepted by the LSU defense three times. He was sacked three times, and the SEC’s leading rusher was held to just 27 yards on 17 carries.
The Loss dropped the Aggies to 5-2 on the season, and 2-2 in the SEC.
