Potato Cellar Goes Up in Flames

(JEFFERSON COUNTY, ID)  —  A 400-foot A frame dirt potato cellar with approx. 11,000 sacks of potatoes and a Spudnik piler burned Wednesday evening due to an uncontrolled brush fire started by workers burning weeds.  The cellar belongs to Peter Cannon, and was being leased by Ralph Risenmay.  The cellar is considered a total loss.  The cost is not known at this time.
