(NEW YORK) — Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe and his wife of nine years, Danielle Spencer, have split, The Sydney Morning Herald reports.
The separation of Crowe and Spencer is said to be amicable, and the two are reportedly committed to protecting their two sons — Charles and Tennyson, ages eight and six — during the ordeal. Crowe has had one of the busiest periods of his filming career this year, with seven films set to come out in the next year, according to the Herald.
The couple first met 22 years ago on the set of the film The Crossing.
