(IDAHO FALLS, ID)  —  Local school administrators and students are taking a proactive stance against bullying. October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and counselors at Rocky Mountain Middle School say that strict, zero-tolerance policies have been effective in keeping most bullies at bay. They say they’re pleased with the students they’ve seen stand up for others being picked on. An estimated 160,000 students stay home from school each day because of poor treatment from peers.
