(NEW YORK) — After being sidelined from a torn Achilles injury since April, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs is expected to play on Sunday against the Houston Texans, according to league sources.
Suggs returned to practice on Wednesday and sources say that Suggs’ family and friends have plans to travel to Houston to see his return to the field on Sunday.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh doesn’t want to push Suggs, who was expected to return mid-November, but credits Suggs for working hard to get back.
“To what extent, to what he’s able to do, I think we should temper our expectations a little bit,” Harbaugh said. “He’s coming off a very serious injury. I think he’s worked really hard. He’s done a great job with the rehab, he’s followed protocol. He had no setbacks throughout the course of the whole deal.”
The Ravens will need all the help they can get on Sunday, after losing their leader on defense, Ray Lewis, in their win against the Cowboys.
