Superheroes, Heroines Top Moviegoers Survey of Fave Halloween Costumes

The Walt Disney Company/Marvel Comics(LOS ANGELES) — Superheroes from The Avengers and heroines from The Dark Knight Rises and The Hunger Games are the most popular movie-inspired Halloween costumes in 2012.
The Hollywood Reporter says in a survey of more than 1,000 moviegoers by Fandango, characters from The Avengers were the top four most popular Halloween costumes for males, with Chris Hemsworth’s Thor grabbing the top spot.
When it came to women’s choices, Anne Hathaway’s Catwoman from The Dark Knight Rises was ranked the most popular, followed by Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss from The Hunger Games.
