Tom Cruise Won’t Press Charges Against Trespasser
Published at | Updated at(LOS ANGELES) — Tom Cruise’s camp says the Mission: Impossible star won’t seek criminal charges against a late-night intruder to his property.
TMZ.com reports the suspect, Jason Sullivan, was living next door to Cruise at the home of the star’s agent, Kevin Huvane, and in an apparent intoxicated mistake, mistook Cruise’s property for Huvane’s Sunday evening.
When Sullivan refused demands to leave the property — and allegedly tried to scale a privacy wall at Cruise’s home — he was Tased by the star’s security members. The suspect was taken into police custody before being charged with misdemeanor trespassing and released.
In the light of day, however, Cruise’s camp is reportedly willing to let bygones be bygones, and not pursue the matter further.
“Tom’s not a vindictive guy,” Cruise’s lawyer Bert Fields tells TMZ. “The guy was drunk. He didn’t have a malicious intent.”
