SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1349160516561BananaStock(TUSCALOOSA, Ala.) — A tough blow to the Crimson Tide.  Alabama lost two of its players on Monday after the team announced wide receiver DeAndrew White and tailback Dee Hart will be out for the remainder of the season due to injuries.

Both White and Hart suffered knee injuries in Saturday night’s win over Mississippi.

“He was really playing well for us on special teams and really playing his position well offensively,” Saban said of White after Saturday’s game.

The sophomore White had eight catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns this season before getting hurt in the first quarter.

Hart, a top recruit in 2011, had rushed for 88 yards on 21 carries and played all five games this season for Alabama.  This is his second season-ending injury in his career.

Tide quarterback AJ McCarron will have to look upon second-string receiver Amari Cooper, who will start in White’s absence.  Alabama (5-0) has a bye this week, followed by a game against Missouri on Oct. 13.
