Twin Falls Man Charged With Raping U of I Student

(TWIN FALLS) – A Twin Falls man is in custody on a $125,000 bond after allegedly raping an acquaintance behind a University of Idaho fraternity house. 21-year-old Jesse Vierstra was attending a party at the Sigma Chi frat house Saturday night when he went outside with a former co-worker. The victim told police that Vierstra sexually assaulted her once they were alone. A preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 18.
