(SALT LAKE CITY) – A Utah lawmaker is working on a bill that would prevent women from getting abortions who don’t like their baby’s gender. Republican State Sen. Margaret Dayton says the measure will likely be debated in next year’s legislative session. The law would also prohibit women from having race-specific abortions if they don’t want to have a child of the father’s race.
