America’s Most Wanted Leads to Burley Murder Suspect

BURLEY – LaAmerica’s Most Wanted Leads to Burley Murder Suspectw enforcement have been searching for James Duan Ambrose on suspicion of first-degree murder since late spring.

Thanks to a viewer who watched America’s Most Wanted, law enforcement was able to catch up with Ambrose in Las Vegas.

The Associated Press reports Ambrose, 53, a former Burley resident, was wanted in the connection of the May murder of Russ Taft of Rupert. Taft’s body was discovered in a crawl space at the Alpine Gardens Motel in which he was contemplating buying. It took officers two weeks to find the body of Taft who died from blunt force trauma to the head and a stab wound to the chest.

A taxicab had been stolen after the murder and was later found after being involved in a car accident in Las Vegas.

Fox 14 reports Ambrose also had warrants out of Las Vegas for kidnapping, robbery, burglary, battery and grand larceny.
