(BLACKFOOT) – The body of a Blackfoot man was pulled from the Snake River Thursday.
Emergency officials said Vaughn Kepler, 59, went fishing Wednesday and never returned home. That prompted search and rescue crews from Bingham and Bonneville counties to launch a recovery effort.
Kepler’s body was found near Wadsworth Island shortly before family and friends were to begin a walk-through search.
The circumstances of Kepler’s death remain under investigation.
