Benett/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Stephanie Rose Bongiovi, the 19-year-old daughter of Bon Jovi frontman Jon Bon Jovi, was arrested early Wednesday morning on drug charges at her college in Clinton, New York after a reported overdose.

According to the Kirkland, NY police department, Stephanie, a student at Hamilton College, was arrested after a quantity of heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia was discovered in her dorm room.

She was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of marijuana, and criminally using drug paraphernalia, all of which are class-A misdemeanors.  She was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, which is a violation.  She was released on an appearance ticket and must appear in court at a later date.

A rep for Jon Bon Jovi tells ABC News Radio that they have no comment on the incident.

Police initially arrived at the dorm in response to a report of a female who had allegedly overdosed on heroin and was unresponsive.  A male student, Ian S. Grant, was arrested at that scene and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance after police discovered a small quantity of heroin. Police later returned with a search warrant, and when the additional drugs were discovered, Stephanie was arrested.

It is not clear from the police report whether or not the unresponsive female who allegedly overdosed was, in fact, Stephanie, but TMZ.com is reporting that it was indeed the rocker’s daughter.
