Chris Christie and His Fleece Jacket Make Cameo on “SNL”

Ramin Talaie/Bloomberg via Getty Images(NEW YORK) — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie can’t stay out of the spotlight even if it’s to poke fun at his appearance and famous short temper.
Christie dropped by Saturday Night Live for a surprise cameo appearance on the “Weekend Update” segment with Seth Myers in which he feigned impatience with questions and blasted New Jersey residents who ignored his evacuation orders during the height of Hurricane Sandy, calling them “idiots.”
Throughout the storm’s aftermath, Christie and his blue fleece jacket have maintained a ubiquitous presence throughout large areas of the Garden State ravaged by the super storm.
He made a special point of thanking the Red Cross and first responders for their tireless efforts to bring relief to hurricane victims.
As for his fleece jacket, Christie joked that he’s worn it so much over the past three weeks, it’s become part of his body, also taking the time out to apologize to his wife for the way it smells.
