(LOS ANGELES) — Jamal Crawford came off the bench and scored 22 points, as the Los Angeles Clippers (6-2) defeated the Miami Heat (6-3), 107-100, at Staples Center Wednesday night.
The Clippers held a 72-70 lead in the third quarter when Chris Paul decided to take over. He scored the next 13 points for the Clippers, giving the team an 85-74 lead going into the fourth quarter.
“We lost the third quarter,” Heat forward LeBron James said when explaining the loss. “They were making some bombs. CP’s (Chris Paul) back-to-back threes. I mean we played defense 23 seconds and he just lined them up, and we never recovered from that.”
Chris Paul finished the night with 16 points and 10 assists.
LeBron James led all scorers with 30 points in the loss.
