Published at(PHILADELPHIA) — Surgeons at Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia have successfully separated eight-month-old conjoined twins.
Allison and Amelia Tucker were joined at the lower chest and stomach and shared a liver before the seven-hour surgery.
Their lead doctor says he expects a full recovery for both girls, who should be able to lead full, healthy, and independent lives.
Allison and Amelia have a two-year-old brother waiting for them back home in upstate New York.
