(NEW YORK) — If you read Donald Trump’s Twitter feed after the election was called for President Obama Tuesday night, you know that he was not happy with the results. A day later, he hadn’t calmed down, and he let out his frustration in part by ripping NBC News’ Brian Williams.
During his network’s election coverage Tuesday night, the NBC Nightly News anchor poked fun at Trump while calling attention to The Celebrity Apprentice star’s tweets claiming the country is divided and needs a revolution.
Williams said Trump had “driven well past the last exit to relevance and veered into something closer to irresponsible.”
Trump is not one to back down from a good feud, and Wednesday was no exception. He posted several negative tweets about Williams, beginning with, “@bwilliams knows that I think his newscast has become totally boring so he took a shot at me last night.”
Trump continued, “The only thing more boring than @bwilliams newscast is his show Rock Center which is totally dying in the ratings — a disaster!…Brian — Thanks dummy — I picked up 70,000 twitter followers yesterday alone. Cable News just passed you in the ratings.”
It didn’t end there. Trump also wrote, “Brian Williams was never a smart guy but always passes himself off as such. People will learn the truth! Brian, if I’m ‘well past the last exit to relevance’ how come you spent so much time reading my tweets last night?”
Trump has deleted a few of his tweets from Tuesday night, including the “revolution” comment as well as an inaccurate remark that Obama lost the popular vote.
