FBI Offers Reward in Rexburg Bank Robbery

REbank employees forced in vaultXBURG – Police are still searching for a suspect that robbed a credit union in Rexburg Wednesday and are asking the public’s help in identifying the man.

The suspect robbed the East Idaho Credit Union located at 412 Grand Loop at approximately 4:30 p.m.

The suspect was able to get away with an undisclosed amount of money and drove off in a dark blue sedan with tinted windows and a red and blue license plate. He was last seen heading south on South Yellowstone Highway.

The subject is described as a male about 5’10” tall and weighing between 220-230 pounds. He wore a mask, black gloves, a black coat with a hood and baggy Levi jeans during the robbery.

FBI Special Agent in Charge David J. Johnson is offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the individual.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI Salt Lake City Division, which oversees FBI operations in Idaho, at 801-579-1400. Tips also can be e-mailed to SaltLakeCity@ic.fbi.gov.

Law enforcement considers the suspect to be armed and dangerous. The public is advised not to approach the individual and instead contact authorities.
