The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2 earned an estimated $141.3 million in its debut weekend, a total that ranks eighth of all-time.  It’s more than what Breaking Dawn — Part 1 raised in its opening weekend last year, but just a shade less than what New Moon pulled in when it premiered in 2009.

Breaking Dawn — Part 2 also raked in nearly $200 million overseas.

Breaking Dawn — Part 2 replaced the James Bond film Skyfall in the top spot.  Skyfall fell to second place, collecting $41.5 million.

Lincoln, which expanded into wide release Friday, finished third, with $21 million.
