Florida State Rallies Late, Beats Virginia Tech

Geoff Burke/Getty Images(BLACKSBURG, Va.) -- Florida State quarterback E.J. Manuel connected with Rashad Greene on a 39-yard touchdown pass with 40 seconds to go in the game, giving the Seminoles the lead and the eventual win over Virginia Tech. "I got the best teammates in the country, man," Manuel said after the game. "You know this team has matured so much since I've been here. I'm just proud of the guys. I just told them we can't come this far and not get a W (win)." Virginia Tech (4-6) took a 22-20 lead with 2:19 to go in the game when kicker Cody Journell nailed a 21-yard field goal, but Florida State followed that up with a nine-play 73-yard scoring drive to win the game. Florida State (9-1), which is ranked 10th in the BCS standings, can clinch a spot in the ACC championship game with a win over Maryland on Nov. 17. Virginia Tech will have two win its final two games of the season to be eligible for a bowl game for the 20th straight season. Copyright 2012 ABC News Radio
