Manuel connected with Rashad Greene on a 39-yard touchdown pass with 40 seconds to go in the game, giving the Seminoles the lead and the eventual win over Virginia Tech.

“I got the best teammates in the country, man,” Manuel said after the game. “You know this team has matured so much since I’ve been here. I’m just proud of the guys. I just told them we can’t come this far and not get a W (win).”

Virginia Tech (4-6) took a 22-20 lead with 2:19 to go in the game when kicker Cody Journell nailed a 21-yard field goal, but Florida State followed that up with a nine-play 73-yard scoring drive to win the game.
