Former Cubs All-Star Bryan LaHair Signs in Japan
Published at(FUKUOKA, Japan) — Former Chicago Cub Bryan LaHair has signed a two-year $4.5 million contract with the Softbank Hawks of the Japanese Pacific League.
2012 was the 29-year-old LaHair’s first full MLB season. He hit .259, with 16 home runs and 40 RBI’s, making the National League All-Star team.
In 970 Minor League games, LaHair hit .295, with 159 home runs and had a .362 OBP.
LaHair is expected to be used as a first baseman and designated hitter for the Hawks.
