Former Pocatello Man Charged With Tax Fraud

(POCATELLO) – A former Pocatello man has pleaded guilty to multiple counts of filing false IRS claims.

Moses Mukuka, 38, now of Dallas, Texas, entered the pleas Wednesday in Pocatello.

Prosecutors say Mukuka placed fliers around the Idaho State University campus claiming to be an accounting student that could complete income tax returns for only $10. Mukuka then filed the claims with false information to collect higher refunds, giving only a small portion to his customers.

Sentencing is scheduled for February 13.
