MOSCOW – A former University of Idaho student has pleaded not guilty to charges that he raped an 18-year-old freshman during the school’s homecoming celebrations.
Prosecutors say Jesse Vierstra, 20, was attending a party at a fraternity house when he stepped outside with the victim and began kissing her. When the victim tried to end the encounter, Vierstra allegedly carried her to a secluded area and raped her.
He is scheduled to stand trial in January.
