George Hill Sinks Lakers At Buzzer

Hill hit a game-winning layup with .1 seconds left for the Indiana Pacers to defeat the Los Angeles Lakers, 79-77.

The Lakers (7-8) had tied the game on a three-pointer from Bryant with 24.5 seconds left which gave him 40 points for the game. Bryant was a game-time decision to play because of having the flu.

On the next possesion, the Pacers (7-8) held the ball to burn clock until Hill drove from the top of the key and floated his shot over the oustretched hand of Lakers center Dwight Howard off the glass.  Hill finished with 19 points to lead Indiana.

The Lakers missed 10 foul shots and shot only 36 percent from the floor. Howard was 3 of 12 from the line.
