(CHARLOTTE, N.C.) — Charlotte Bobcats guard Gerald Henderson is expected to miss at least 2-4 weeks with a sprained left foot.
Henderson injured the foot in the second half of the team’s game Saturday versus the Dallas Mavericks.
Henderson thought the injury could have been worse and was happy when he learned it was just a sprain.
“It had potential to be worse where the injury was,’’ Henderson said to the Charlotte Observer. “It’s pretty painful to walk on. It could have been broken….It could have been a higher degree of tear of ligaments; I could have had surgery. Not anything like that. So I was happy to hear what he (doctor) said.”
Henderson, who led the Bobcats in scoring last season, has averaged 12.5 points, three steals and 2.5 assists in two games this season.
