Idaho Ed. Board Drops Online Class Requirement

  Published at  | Updated at

(BOISE) – The Idaho Board of Education has voted to abandon a state requirement that high school students take two online courses to graduate.

In a 7-1 vote Monday, the board consented to the Election Day rejection of Proposition 3, which set aside $180 million for student laptops used for potential online classes.

Still, most board members agree that online classes will still be in future discussions. They plan to work with the Idaho Education Association to determine the best options for education reform in the coming years.
