ITD Makes 5.4 Million a Year Selling Driver Records

(BOISE) – The Idaho Transportation Department reports they make over 5.4 million dollars a year selling motor vehicle records to companies that use the information to track buying patterns and send out recall notices.

These companies are even reported to help track down individuals that have unpaid parking tickets. ITD officials claim this information does not reveal any private information about individuals.
