(NEW ORLEANS) — Carmelo Anthony scored a game high 29 points, leading the New York Knicks to a 102-80 thrashing of the New Orleans Hornets.
The Knicks (8-1) hit 14 3-pointers as a team in the win.
“When we get it going inside the paint early going to the basket, it opens up a lot of things on the outside,” Anthony said. “We have guys that can make shots…outside shots. When we find them we move the ball and sometimes it goes in and sometimes it don’t. Tonight was one of them nights that it was going in.”
The Hornets (3-6), who were without rookie phenom Anthony Davis because of an ankle issue, lost their fourth straight game.
Knicks point guard Raymond Felton hit five 3-pointers in the win.
