According to the Santa Monica Police Department, the 26-year-old actress has been charged with lying to police in that city back in June, when she was involved in a car accident.

The charges come just hours after the actress was arrested and charged with third-degree assault for allegedly punching a woman during a dispute at a nightclub in the Chelsea section of New York City.

Santa Monica police Sgt. Richard Lewis confirmed to ABC News that Lohan was charged with willfully resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer in the course of their duties; giving false information to a peace officer; and reckless driving — all misdemeanors.

The charges, which total 21 months of possible jail time, would likely mean that Lohan has violated her parole in connection with her prior conviction for stealing a necklace from a Venice, California jewelry store in February 2011.

In response for a request for comment, Lohan’s publicist directed ABC News to Lohan’s lawyer, Shawn Holley, who has yet to make a statement.

A court date for Lohan has not been set yet.
