Man Airlifted After Crash in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY – A 30-year-old Terreton man was airlifted to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center early this morning.

The Idaho State Police released a statement saying the man, Jason Melchor, was driving eastbound on S.H. 33 near Sage Junction when he lost control of his 1996 Chevrolet Suburban.

ISP said Melchor was wearing his seatbelt when the accident occurred at approximately 5:20 a.m.

Icy roads and weather were said to be contributing factors in the crash.
