Manning, Giants Trounce Packers
Published at(EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J.) — The New York Giants were on a two-game losing streak and in need of a win. They had an appropriate response on Sunday night.
Eli Manning threw three touchdowns as New York trounced the Green Bay Packers 38-10 at MetLife Stadium.
Manning delivered his first strong performance in a month, and passed Phill Simms on the Giants’ all-time career TD list with his 200th career touchdown pass. “I never thought my arm was tired, never felt like it,” Manning said. “After a week off, you come back to practice, it felt good, alive, balls coming out with a little pop on it.”
The Giants (7-4) held the Green Bay offense to only one long touchdown while forcing two turnovers, including a sack-fumble of quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
New York also ran well against Green Bay (7-4), racking up 147 rushing yards. They did lose running back Andre Brown to a broken leg.
