Mayim Bialik to Divorce Husband Michael Stone

Jason Merritt/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Mayim Bialik and her husband, Michael Stone, are getting divorced, her publicist confirmed to ABC News. Bialik cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split and plans to file papers in court Wednesday.
“The main priority for us now is to make the transition to two loving homes as smooth and painless as possible,” Bialik said in a statement. “Our sons deserve parents committed to their growth and health and that’s what we are focusing on.”
Bialik, who stars in The Big Bang Theory and shot to fame with the ’90s sitcom Blossom, has been married to Stone for nine years. They have two children together, Miles and Frederick. Bialik recently made headlines with her book about attachment parenting, Beyond the Sling, in which she revealed that she still breastfeeds Fred, who is nearly 4, and said she and her husband sleep on the floor in a family bed with the two boys.
Bialik said the “hands-on style of parenting we practice played no role in the changes that led to this decision,” adding, “relationships are complicated no matter what style of parenting you choose.”
