McCartney, Springsteen, & More to Rock NYC for Sandy Benefit Show
(NEW YORK) -- Many of the same artists who participated in the star-studded Hurricane Sandy relief telethon that aired on NBC a few weeks ago, plus more, are coming together in New York City on Wednesday, December 12, for a huge benefit concert.
Dubbed 12.12.12: The Concert for Sandy Relief, the one-night-only event at Madison Square Garden boasts a lineup that includes Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, The Who, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Pink Floyd's Roger Waters, and Jon Bon Jovi. It's being produced by the same folks who brought you the 9/11 benefit show, The Concert for New York City.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Robin Hood Relief Fund, which is providing money, materials and information to charitable organizations in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut that are helping assist the families and areas hit hardest by the storm.
The show will also be telecast, but those details are not yet available. Ticket information will be released in the coming days.
