NBA Suspends Celtics Guard Rajon Rondo 2 Games for Fight
Published at(BOSTON) — The NBA suspended Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo for two games on Thursday for initiating a fight with Brooklyn Nets forward Kris Humpries.
The 26-year-old Rondo was ejected in the second quarter of Wednesday night’s 95-83 loss to Brooklyn after he shoved Humpries into the front row when the Nets forward sent teammate Kevin Garnett to the floor with a hard foul.
The NBA also fined Garnett $25,000 and Nets forward Gerald Wallace $35,000 for escalating the altercation.
