(COLLGE PARK, Md.) — No. 10 Florida State knew they had a chance to get to the ACC title game with a win against Maryland on the road. They made sure they accomplished that on Saturday.
The Seminoles held the Terrapins to 34 rushing yards in a 41-14 win on Saturday that clinched a spot in the conference championship game for Florida State.
Florida State (10-1) got off to a fast start, putting up 14 unanswered points in the first quarter, highlighted by a Nick O’Leary touchdown catch from EJ Manuel. The Seminoles quarterback completed 17 of 23 passes for 144 yards and two scores.
Meanwhile, the Terrapins (4-7) had difficulty moving the ball against the Florida State defense. They managed only 170 total yards and turned the ball over twice.
