(CINCINNATI) — Rutgers took care of business at in a hostile enviornment, and they still control the Big East.
The Scarlet Knights got another stingy defensive effort and held off Cincinnati 10-3 on Saturday.
No. 22 Rutgers (9-1) still does not have a loss in Big East play but downplayed that after the game. “I’m not thinking about being in control of the Big East,” coach Kyle Flood said. “This was a one-time event.”
Quarterback Gary Nova got Rutgers on the board in the first quarter with a 71-yard touchdown pass to Mark Harrison for a 7-0 lead and the defense did the rest. Nova finished with 186 yards and two interceptions to go along with the touchdown.
