Office Politics: Why Many Hide Party Affiliation
Published at(NEW YORK) — It may seem like everybody’s talking about the election, but a new Harris poll finds most people don’t consider it appropriate water cooler conversation.
The survey, conducted for CareerBuilder, found 66 percent of workers purposely conceal their party affiliation from co-workers. Twenty-eight percent feel it’s necessary to prevent arguments.
CareerBuilder says most people want to avoid controversy on the job at all costs, and avoiding political discussions is one way to do that.
