Olympic Gymnasts McKayla Maroney and Gabrielle Douglas Would Love to Do “Dancing with the Stars”

Jason Kempin/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney may have Dancing with the Stars in her sights. She was joined backstage at the show by her Fierce Five teammates Gabrielle Douglas and Kyla Ross on Monday after taking part in Shawn Johnson’s freestyle dance routine.
Speaking to Us Weekly, Maroney said “I definitely would [do Dancing with the Stars],” adding, “It would be just an amazing experience.” Her fellow athlete Douglas agreed. “I love the dynamic and being paired with a partner, having so much fun behind the scenes and backstage … so why not?”
However, Ross said she’s not quite ready for the reality mill just yet, giving only a “Maybe” when asked. She told Us Weekly, “Probably next year, but who knows? Maybe sometime in my future.”
