East Idaho – Weekend weather conditions sent at least six people to the hospital and killed one.

Idaho State Police said three were hospitalized following a bus crash on I-15 in Pocatello Sunday.

At approximately 1:10 a.m., a Salt Lake Express bus lost control on the ice near Pocatello Creek Road while heading northbound. The driver, Elijah Hansen, 30 from Provo, Utah, lost control of the vehicle and crossed into the median.

Three passengers on the bus were taken by ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center.

North of Swan Valley, a three-vehicle crash also sent three to the hospital on Saturday. Idaho State Police reported Jamie Krupinski, 24, from Jackson, Wyo., was south on State Highway 31 in a green 1997 Ford.

Krupinski lost control of the vehicle on the “ice-covered roads and crossed the center line into oncoming traffic, colliding with a red 2002 Toyota Tacoma” driven by Michael Robinson, 32, of Idaho Falls.

Kelly Muir, 24, from Franklin, who was behind Robinson in a grey Ford Eclipse, “left the south side of the road to avoid the collision in front of him and subsequently hit a road sign,” ISP reported.

ISP is also investigating a crash near Fort Hall that left one dead.

Kathleen De Young, 85, of Pocatello was killed when her Dodge Dakota lost control on the slick roads and rolled through the median.
