(SAN ANTONIO) — San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker nailed a 21-foot jumper with time expiring to lift the Spurs (2-0) past the Oklahoma City Thunder (0-1) Thursday, 86-84.
“Pops (Greg Popovich) set up a play for me coming out of a screen, and I was wide open,” Parker said of his game winner on Turner Sports. “Knocked down the shot.”
Parker finished the game with 14 points and 11 assists.
Thunder forward Kevin Durant led all scorers with 23 points.
Kevin Martin, who was part of the deal that sent James Harden to Houston, scored 15 points off the bench for Oklahoma City.
